I was supposed to be a part of this Mother's Day

This Mother's Day I would have been a mother. I could have been a mom.

When I found out I was pregnant I was over the moon thinking...
I'll FINALLY get it when moms talk about never loving anything the way they do their children, as I watch them get lost in their beautiful thoughts.
I'll FINALLY understand what it's like to hear the word "Mom" and know the deepness and weight it holds when it pumps through your ears.
I never made it to the moon, or even the stars. My rocket ship came back down to earth and did a crash landing and my over the moon thinking was now a pile of wreckish that weighed my heart down each day May got closer

Mother's Day-All about Moms

What about those of us who visited the word "Mom" but had to tearfully and white knuckling give it right back.

We got to see the beauty of the word. We felt the pure love for something we had not even met yet. We got lost deep into our thoughts of our beautiful future that lies ahead. We felt Whole and gained a purpose of life that was so fulfilling. We knew we'd be....Mom.

We lost sleep over the what ifs. We cried the tears of lost hope. We felt the heaviness and burden of loving something we would never meet. We slipped away into the unattainable future we thought was promised to be ours. We knew we weren't...Mom.

If I've learned anything from my mother in law & all  my best friends about being a mom....
(and of course my best friends moms too, CB that's you)
It's that all the feelings I experienced, people experience, makes us apart of this word Mom.

  • Joy
  • Delight
  • Anticipation
  • Unfailing Love
  • Hope
  • Despair
  • Anxiousness
  • Pain
  • Overwhelmed
  • Heavy hearted
Those words are what MOMS feel. EVERY KIND OF MOM. So whether you've lost a mom, never had a mom, gained a mom, you are a mom, you were a mom, or you long to be a mom....

This Mother's Day is yours.

Celebrate together. <3
The moms who chase their kids around the house.
The moms who welcome new life.
The moms who watched their kids grow older.
The moms who lost children unexpectedly.
The moms who we lost or never had.
The moms who took on more than their own.
The moms who mourn their children they never got to meet.
The moms who may never get to experience it all.
The moms who patiently wait in the dark for their chance.
The moms who are un breakable through it all.

A mothers love, even if it's only two lines or two hands and feet, is like nothing else in this world.
